I am a lover of all junk food!   It hardly matters what it is, from plain potato chips to Flaming Hot Cheetos, I love all salty and sugary snacks.  But a month ago I decided to give it a rest for good and give those things up, at least 85% of the time.  I have been trying lots of new healthier options, and I am surprised to say that a favorite of mine now is homemade kale chips.  They are strange, and different, and not really like a potato chip, but they are decent if you spice them up, and I know they are a ton healthier for me when I toss them in coconut oil and add a touch of sea salt and chili powder.  I bake mine at about 250 degrees for at least 45 minutes, but check them and test them to see when they are done.

This morning I realize that carrot sticks and left over kale chips is quite delicious and takes the hunger edge off after a long commute to work!  Give kale chips a try, but make them at home, I have found that many of the store brands are yucky (sorry, it’s a Mom word)!

    Ok, the closeup on those carrots doesn’t exactly scream “EAT ME, I’M FUN!”, but the kale chips sound promising?! Good on ya’ sista!

    • Yeah, maybe not fun. . .but sorta fun after I eat them knowing I didn’t put a bunch of mystery crap in my body 🙂 Thanks for the encouragement, and for popping in!!
